DD Note re Joseph Nolan's skills:This concert was remarkable for the astonishing virtuosity of our organist Joseph Nolan-Cain, whose incredible ability to imagine, create and execute the sounds of the orchestra on that huge instrument can be heard in the two tracks adjacent to this note: The Wreck of the Hesperus and the opening movement of The Music Makers:
DD Note re Daffodils:Daffodils is a beautiful encore piece, but since we had a Mezzo soloist I decided to adapt it on the day to utilise the solo singer. It was a spur of the moment thing and so not perfect. I include it only because I find this version touching and so did the audience.
